MS 6.4P EVO Engine Control Unit

The Bosch Motorsport MS 6.4P EVO represents the pinnacle of the MS 6 EVO family, engineered for demanding motorsport applications and OEM homologation programs. Its core is an 866 MHz dual-core CPU, delivering a substantial 30% performance boost compared to the 667 MHz processors found in other MS 6 EVO models. This enhanced computational power is crucial for executing complex Customer Code Area (CCA) algorithms, such as model-predictive combustion control, advanced traction and stability systems, and real-time hybrid integration, all while maintaining tight cycle times. This ECU is equipped to handle both low-pressure (PFI) and high-pressure (GDI) fuel injection, with an optional HP package available for further capability. It offers a comprehensive array of inputs, including 38 analog inputs (with detailed configurations for ETC, no pull-up, angle-synchronous, fixed, and switchable resistances), 8 shared analog/digital inputs with SENT capability, 2 lambda interfaces (Bosch LSU 4.9), and 2 K-type thermocouple inputs for EGT monitoring. Internal measurements include ambient pressure, a 6-axis acceleration sensor, ECU temperature, and voltage. For data logging, the MS 6.4P EVO includes 4 GB as standard, with an optional upgrade to 16 GB. This expanded capacity is vital for endurance racing, allowing for continuous high-rate logging of up to 1,500 channels at 1,000 Hz across extended sessions without interruption. Communication is handled via CAN, Ethernet, LIN, and SENT protocols. A critical consideration for calibrators is the software compatibility: the MS 6.4P EVO requires its own dedicated software version within RaceCon and is strictly NOT compatible with the software used on the MS 6.4 EVO or any other MS 6 EVO variant. RaceCon project files must be migrated to the dedicated MS 6.4P software branch before use.
