MS3Pro PnP Standalone Engine Management System

The MegaSquirt MS3Pro PnP ECU is an advanced standalone engine management system engineered for the 1990-1993 Mazda MX-5 Miata models equipped with a manual transmission. A pre-loaded base map ensures that the engine can start on the first attempt, simplifying the initial setup. This system provides powerful tuning capabilities, including real-time adjustments and an 8 GB internal data logger accessible via a laptop connection. It supports a wide range of aftermarket wideband sensors, enabling precise air-fuel ratio monitoring and control. The MS3Pro PnP ECU allows for the elimination of the factory airflow meter, opening up possibilities for further modifications. Its internal architecture features extensive mapping capabilities with 16x16 fuel and ignition tables, and 12x12 air-fuel ratio target tables for sophisticated tuning. Further enhancing its versatility, the MS3Pro PnP ECU includes multiple acceleration enrichment strategies, closed-loop idle speed control, and air conditioner control. It supports 4 sequential fuel injector channels with individual trim tables and can manage both high and low impedance injectors directly with its onboard peak and hold drivers, eliminating the need for external ballast resistors. The system also offers VVT support for those swapping to a later VVT motor, programmable alternator control for NB alternator swaps, and multiple traction control strategies. Additional features include a built-in 3-step rev limiter with launch control, real-time barometric correction, an internal 4-bar MAP sensor capable of reading up to 44 PSI of boost, overboost protection, and closed-loop boost control (requires an EBC solenoid kit). Rally-style anti-lag, water injection control, knock sensor input, table switching for on-the-fly map changes, flex fuel sensor input, and a CANBus connector for integrating additional MegaSquirt-compatible devices further expand its potential.
