MS3Pro Standalone Engine Management System

The Megasquirt MS3Pro Plug & Play ECU is a standalone engine management solution engineered for the 1994-1995 Mazda Miata NA8 with a 1.8L engine. This ECU features a robust set of tuning capabilities, including 16x16 fuel and ignition tables for precise control, multiple acceleration enrichment strategies, closed-loop idle speed control, and air conditioner control. It supports four sequential fuel injector channels, can be configured for OEM wasted spark or sequential coil-on-plug ignition systems, and includes onboard high-impedance injector drivers. The system also allows for the removal of the stock airflow meter for increased tuning flexibility. Advanced features include 12x12 air-fuel ratio target tables for wideband sensor integration, VVT support for later motor swaps, programmable voltage regulator control, and multiple traction control strategies. For enhanced performance, it offers a built-in 3-step rev limiter/launch control, real-time barometric correction, an internal 4-bar MAP sensor capable of reading up to 44 PSI of boost, overboost protection, and closed-loop boost control (requires an EBC solenoid kit). Additional capabilities include rally-style anti-lag, water injection control, knock sensor input, table switching for on-the-fly map changes, flex fuel sensor input, and a CANBus connector for integrating other MegaSquirt-compatible devices. Important compatibility notes: This unit is strictly for Manual Transmission Only and does not support Automatic Transmission Control. It is compatible with 1994-1995 USDM Mazda ‘NA8’ Miata 1.8L [BPZE] and European & Japanese Domestic Market NA8 Mazda MX-5 1.8L [BP] models with manual transmissions. It is NOT compatible with 1994-1995 JDM & EUR ‘NA’ MX-5 models equipped with the B6ZE 1.6L engine.
