Overview

The MSD 8969 is a digital RPM window switch designed to turn circuits on and off at different RPMs. It accepts input RPM signals from a coil negative terminal, ignition control tach output, ECU tach output, or a 5-volt tach signal. The activation points are programmable via an LED display, and it features two outputs: one Normally Open and one Normally Closed.

The MSD 8969 Digital RPM Window Switch offers versatile control for your vehicle's circuits, activating or deactivating them at specific RPM thresholds. This switch is engineered to work with a wide range of ignition systems, accepting input signals from coil negative terminals, ignition control tach outputs, ECU tach outputs, or 5-volt tach signals. It is particularly well-suited for late-model coil-per-cylinder applications, dual coil pack systems, and even specific applications like those found in certain Viper or Harley Davidson models. Programming the desired RPM activation points is made simple through the integrated LED display, allowing you to scroll through and set your desired RPMs in 100 RPM increments. The switch offers flexibility with two output channels: one Normally Open (NO) and one Normally Closed (NC), enabling diverse circuit control strategies. It operates within an input voltage range of 9-18 volts and can be programmed for RPMs from 200 to 15,000 RPM. Unlike other systems, the MSD 8969 requires no additional RPM modules, streamlining installation. This RPM switch is also noted as being legal for sale or use on Emissions Controlled Vehicles, Uncontrolled Vehicles, and for Racing Use Only, as it does not affect vehicle emissions. MSD provides a Manufacturer's Limited 1-Year Warranty for this product.
