MSPNP2 Gen 2 ECU

The AMP EFI MSPNP2 Gen 2 ECU is a fully standalone, plug-and-play engine management solution engineered for easy installation and enhanced performance in select Toyota models. Key features include a fully plug-and-play installation with no wiring required for basic functionality, an average install time of under one hour, and a pre-loaded start-up map for the 4A-GE Bigport 1.6L engine. The unit supports real-time tuning and data logging via a laptop and integrates with most aftermarket wideband sensors. For advanced engine control, the MSPNP2 Gen 2 boasts 16x16 fuel tables for high-resolution fuel control and 12x12 ignition tables for optimized ignition timing. It also includes multiple acceleration enrichment strategies, closed-loop idle speed control, and air conditioner control. The ECU allows for the removal of the stock airflow meter and features onboard high impedance injector drivers capable of driving up to 4 sequential fuel injector channels (minor wiring changes required for sequential injection on 4A-GE only). Further advanced features include 12x12 Air-Fuel Ratio target tables, a built-in 2-step rev limiter with launch control, real-time barometric correction, an internal 4-bar MAP sensor for boost pressure monitoring up to 44 PSI, overboost protection, and closed-loop boost control (requires compatible EBC Solenoid Kit). It also offers table switching input for instant map changes and a Flex Fuel Sensor input for seamless E85/gasoline transitions, along with a CANBus connector for expandability. It is not compatible with the JDM 4A-GE using the factory MAP sensor, 4A-GZE engines, or the later 20-valve engine. It supports the following vehicles: 1985-1989 USDM Toyota ‘AW11’ MR2 (1.6L [4A-GE Bigport]), 1985-1987 USDM Toyota ‘AE86’ Corolla (1.6L [4A-GE Bigport]), 1985-1990 USDM Toyota 4Runner / Pickup (2.4L Non-Turbo or Turbo [22R-E / 22R-TE]), and 1987-1989 Toyota ‘AE82’ FWD Corolla (1.6L [4A-GE Bigport]).
