MSPNP2 Gen 2 Standalone ECU

The DIYAutoTune MSPNP2 Gen 2 ECU is a fully standalone, plug-and-play engine management solution designed to enhance performance for off-road and motorsports applications. This ECU replaces the factory unit, offering extensive tuning capabilities with 16x16 fuel tables and 12x12 ignition tables for precise control. It supports aftermarket wideband sensors and features real-time tuning and data logging via a laptop connection. Key features include a pre-loaded start-up map for the 4A-GE Bigport 1.6L engine, simplifying initial setup. Advanced capabilities encompass multiple acceleration enrichment strategies, closed-loop idle speed control, air conditioner control, and support for removing the stock airflow meter. The ECU also boasts an internal 4-bar MAP sensor capable of monitoring boost pressure up to 44 PSI, along with overboost protection and closed-loop boost control when paired with a compatible solenoid kit. Additional advanced features include table switching for instant map changes, flex fuel sensor input, and a CANBus connector for expanded integration. However, it's important to note that the OEM ECU connectors are no longer available new. DIYAutoTune has implemented a trade-in program where customers must ship a factory PCM with a good condition connector for the new ECU to be built. Orders without a proper trade-in will be refunded minus a 7% administrative fee. Compatibility is specific to manual transmission vehicles. This ECU is designed for 1985-1989 USDM Toyota ‘AW11’ MR2 with the 1.6L 4A-GE Bigport engine, 1985-1987 USDM Toyota ‘AE86’ Corolla with the 1.6L 4A-GE Bigport engine, 1985-1990 USDM Toyota 4Runner/Pickup with the 2.4L 22R-E/22R-TE engines, and 1987-1989 Toyota ‘AE82’ FWD Corolla with the 1.6L 4A-GE Bigport engine. It explicitly does not support automatic transmission control. Furthermore, this ECU is not compatible with the JDM 4A-GE using the factory MAP sensor, 4A-GZE engines, or later 20-valve engines.
