The MST BMW B58 Gen2 Turbo Inlet Pipe Kit (BW-B5806H) is engineered as an OEM-style direct replacement for the factory turbo inlet pipe. Designed specifically for the BMW B58 Gen2 engine, this kit offers an enlarged pipe diameter to substantially enhance airflow. This improvement is particularly advantageous for vehicles equipped with ECU tuning, leading to a more responsive power delivery. Key features of this inlet pipe include an enlarged diameter for increased airflow, compatibility with both stock and upgraded turbochargers, and an OEM-diameter turbo guide vane for optimized flow. When paired with the stock airbox, users can achieve further performance gains by incorporating an MST high-flow panel filter or another aftermarket performance air filter to meet the higher airflow demands for increased horsepower. The manufacturer claims gains of +10–14 HP on tuned vehicles, along with sharper turbo spool and throttle response. This kit is suitable for the OEM airbox and fits a range of BMW models including the G20/G21 M340i, G22/G23 M440i, G29 Z4 40i, and G42 M240i, as well as the Toyota Supra 3.0. Please note that the PCV heater is removed during installation, which may result in a stored error code. While this typically does not illuminate the check engine light, certain vehicle models might display it depending on system sensitivity.
