The Calimer Transmissions CAL-MT82-1517 is a meticulously rebuilt MT-82 manual transmission engineered for the 2015, 2016, and 2017 Ford Mustang GT models. This transmission is offered in three distinct stages to meet varying performance needs. Stage 1 includes essential upgrades such as bronze shift pads, a billet shift rail stop, and new carbon fiber synchronizers, seals, and bearings, along with damage repair. Stage 2 builds upon Stage 1 by adding REM polishing and cryo treatment for enhanced durability and performance. The pinnacle, Stage 3, incorporates all Stage 2 features and adds a specialized billet gear-set produced by G-Force, specifically designed for Calimer Transmissions. This Stage 3 variant is uniquely capable, rated to handle an impressive 1000 horsepower and 900 torque. Customers can select between a 23-spline or a 26-spline input shaft for the Stage 3 transmission, ensuring a direct fitment. The 26-spline option is noted as being 54% stronger and is highly recommended for demanding applications. It's important to note that the Stage 3 transmission, due to its helical-cut gear profile, may produce a slight audible whine during operation, though it is less pronounced than straight-cut gears. Calimer Transmissions also recommends using only Amsoil 75-90 Transmission and Transaxle Fluid GL4 for optimal performance and longevity with all their MT-82 transmissions.
