Mag-Hytec differential covers are cast in aluminum with thick walls to reinforce the differential housing. They feature a magnetic drain plug to collect metal debris, maintaining oil integrity and keeping metal particles from interacting with other components. The covers use O-rings, eliminating the need for sealant or gaskets. They typically increase fluid capacity and aid in cooling. For the MT-44 application, the cover has an overall height of 3 5/8″ and a capacity of 8 Quarts. It is designed for 14-bolt, 11.5″ differentials, with 12 bolt holes (top and bottom bolts removed for drain plug and temperature sending unit hole). The bolt pattern has one top and one bottom bolt at 12:00 O’clock & 6:00 O’clock for quick identification. It includes a bolt kit, drain plug, and dip stick.
