The Lingenfelter starter heat shield is engineered with multi-layer ceramic and stainless steel to safeguard your starter from excessive heat, thereby significantly prolonging its operational lifespan. This shield was initially developed for Lingenfelter's twin-turbo applications on 1997-2004 C5 Corvettes but is also compatible with many GM applications, including 2005-2007 Corvette LS2 models and most trucks. This heat shield is particularly beneficial when utilizing aftermarket exhaust headers or in any scenario where elevated temperatures could compromise starter performance or longevity. It includes a stainless steel strap (#6898K48) for secure attachment. Note that as of November 20, 2025, this item is on backorder with no estimated restock date; please verify availability before ordering.
