Its Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction, featuring multiple embossed stainless steel layers, provides superior strength, rebound, and corrosion resistance. This design is ideal for mating aluminum heads to either aluminum or cast iron blocks, effectively withstanding the shearing forces between dissimilar materials. The outer layers of the gasket are coated on both sides with Viton, a heat-resistant elastomer capable of withstanding temperatures up to 250°C (482°F), ensuring durability in demanding environments.
