Description

Its construction utilizes multiple layers of stainless steel, enhancing strength, rebound capabilities, and resistance to corrosion. The outer layers are treated with a Viton coating, a heat-resistant elastomer capable of withstanding extreme conditions up to 250°C (482°F). A central uncoated stainless steel shim layer allows for variable thickness requirements. This specific HP MLS gasket includes an additional bore shim staked to a carrier layer. This feature increases clamp load around the combustion chamber, ensuring a high-pressure seal. The gasket features an 87mm bore and a compressed operating thickness of 0.028 inches, with a total of 4 layers. It is specifically designed for the K20C1 and K20C4 engines. Fitment includes: 2017-2021 Honda Civic Type R (K20C1), 2018-2022 Honda Accord 2.0 Turbo (K20C4), and 2019-2021 Acura RDX. The thickness specified is the compressed operating thickness.
