The Castrol Transmax DEX/MERC Domestic Multi-Vehicle Transmission Fluid is formulated for use in older Ford and General Motors vehicles, providing enhanced friction durability for smooth operation. This premium transmission fluid meets DEXRON®-IIIH requirements and is also compatible with DEXRON®, DEXRON®-III, IIE, and II specifications, ensuring broad application for many transmissions. Additionally, it satisfies MERCON® requirements and can be used in power steering applications where MERCON® is specified. It is important to note specific exclusions to ensure proper use and avoid damage. This fluid should not be used in applications that call for DEXRON®-VI. For transmissions requiring Type F, Castrol Transmax Type F ATF should be used instead. Furthermore, do not use this fluid in applications requiring MERCON® V or MERCON® SP. Always consult your vehicle's owner's manual to confirm the correct fluid specification for your transmission.
