The FTP Motorsport N20 Boost Pipe is engineered as a direct replacement for the OEM charge air tube on BMW N20 and N26 engines, addressing a common failure point. The factory plastic pipe is prone to becoming brittle and cracking over time due to heat cycles, leading to boost leaks, check engine lights, and poor engine performance. This upgraded aluminum pipe, constructed from high-strength aluminum alloy, provides a more durable solution. The smooth aluminum construction improves throttle response, reduces turbo lag, and can add mid-range power. It comes with included installation hardware, seals, and robust 3-ply silicone couplers to prevent air leaks and ensure extreme durability under heavy loads. The FTP N20 Boost Pipe is compatible with a range of BMW models including the 1 Series (F20, F21), 2 Series (F22), 3 Series (F30, F31, F34, F35), 4 Series (F32, F33), X3 (F25), and X4 (F26) within specific year ranges and engine configurations. However, it is specifically noted that this part is **not compatible with F36 428i Gran Coupe models**. It replaces BMW part number 13717597591. It has not been tested for emissions compliance and is not legal for sale or use in California or any state adopting CARB regulations for aftermarket parts.
