Overview

The Racing Dynamics Ram Air Cold Air Intake is a multi-piece carbon fiber performance upgrade for BMW 1, 2, 3, and 4 Series models equipped with the N20 engine. It replaces factory air handling components to utilize the ram air effect, which increases airflow into the engine. Each kit features a high-efficiency filter to capture contaminants and heat-shielding carbon fiber parts to maximize inlet air cooling.
Show original supplier description
The Racing Dynamics Ram Air Cold Air Intake is a multi-piece carbon fiber induction system designed to improve engine breathing on BMW F20, F22, F23, F30, F31, F32, F33, and F36 models with the N20/N26 2.0L engine. By replacing the restrictive factory air box, this system utilizes a ram effect to increase volume and velocity of airflow entering the engine. The intake box and shielding components are constructed from hand-laid carbon fiber, which helps reduce heat soak while offering a refined aesthetic in the engine bay. This system includes a high-efficiency, high-flow air filter that provides superior filtration while maintaining optimal airflow performance. Cooler, denser air directed to the engine contributes to improved power delivery. This intake is compatible with BMW N20/N26 2.0L engines, including variants such as the 228i, 320i, 328i, and 428i across various drivetrain configurations (sDrive and xDrive). It serves as a performance-oriented replacement for factory induction systems, offering a balance of aesthetic enhancement and functional airflow improvement.
