The Genuine BMW 11617559523 intake manifold is engineered to enhance the performance of N51 and N52 engines, serving as a direct replacement for part number 11617522927. This manifold is a key component in upgrading non-330i models to 330i specifications, potentially yielding up to a 40hp gain. Unlike the two-stage manifolds found on other models, which are optimized for low and mid-range RPM, the 330i manifold features a third stage. This additional pathway enhances airflow at higher RPMs, boosting top-end power without negatively impacting low and mid-range torque. Installation is a direct bolt-on process for compatible BMWs. However, it's important to note that this intake manifold does not include the required 330i DISA valves, which are essential for its operation. Additionally, while the manifold can be installed and function on non-330i models without software changes, optimal performance gains require corresponding 330i software tuning to fully utilize the increased airflow at higher RPMs. This intake manifold was originally used on models such as the 2006 E90 330i, 128i/328 N51 SULEV, 2007-2010 E70 X5 3.0si, and 2006-2008 E86 Z4 3.0si coupe. It is compatible with a wide range of BMW vehicles including the 1 Series E82/E88 (128i), 3 Series E90/E91/E92/E93 (325i, 325xi, 328i, 328xi), 5 Series E60/E61 (525i, 525xi, 528i, 528xi), X3 E83 (3.0si), and Z4 E85/E86 (3.0i).
