The Precision Raceworks N54 Ignition Kit is engineered to deliver the highest output ignition system for vehicles equipped with the N54 engine. This kit boasts 100% plug-and-play wiring, ensuring a straightforward installation without the need for software tuning, though optional tuning can increase coil output to 118mJ. It features proprietary low-resistance 50ohm/ft plug wires and a high voltage/high current coil design incorporating technology from marine and aerospace applications. This ignition kit offers several benefits, including improved throttle response, smoother idle, and enhanced power output. While coils themselves do not directly increase horsepower, the factory N54 coils often underperform, leading to gains of 20+ whp and 20+ wtq with this upgrade, as evidenced by before-and-after dyno testing. The components meet or exceed OEM requirements and feature dust and water-resistant seals for durability. Buyers can select from different mounting locations: Stock Location (mounts above spark plugs, may require foam removal), OEM Manifold (mounts to DI fuel rail, requires airbox removal), or Aftermarket Manifold (for specific aftermarket intake manifolds). This kit is compatible with various BMW models including the 135i (2007-2010), 1M (2011), 335i (2006-2010), 335i Xdrive (2009-2010), 335is (2011-2013), 335xi (2007-2008), 535i (2008-2017), 535i Xdrive (2009-2010), X6 (2008-2009), and Z4 (2009-2014), all equipped with the N54 engine.
