The BMW Genuine Parts 12120037244 is a high-performance spark plug, equivalent to the Bosch ZGR6STE2, specifically engineered for BMW's N54 twin-turbocharged 6-cylinder engines. This plug utilizes a Nickel-Yttrium and Copper center electrode for enhanced durability and performance, contributing to a longer service life. It comes pre-gapped at 0.7mm and features a flat seat type with a 14mm thread size. This spark plug is designed to replace the original equipment on a range of BMW models, including the 1 Series M, 135i, 335i, 335xi, 535i, 535xi, and X6, primarily for model years 2007 through 2010 equipped with the N54 engine. Replacing aged or worn spark plugs is crucial for maintaining optimal engine performance, fuel economy, and preventing issues such as misfiring, hesitation, and loss of power. The specifications include a 26.5mm reach, a 14mm hex size (requiring a 12-point socket), and a recommended torque specification of 23 ± 3 Nm (~17 ft-lb). The center electrode tip is Nickel-Yttrium, and it features multiple ground electrodes made of copper. The plug is designed with a resistor type to suppress interference.
