The VRSF Catless Downpipe is a performance upgrade for the N55 engine found in select BMW X4 F26 M40i and M40iX models. By removing the restrictive factory catalytic converter, this downpipe significantly reduces exhaust back pressure, leading to faster turbo spool, a noticeable increase in horsepower and torque, and a more aggressive exhaust sound. The unit is meticulously crafted from hand-welded, SS304 grade stainless steel, featuring smooth radius bends to minimize turbulence and maximize flow. The turbo flange is precision CNC machined from billet 304 grade stainless steel for durability and a precise fit. It fits RHD and LHD models without requiring modification. The product comes with a "No Hassle" satisfaction guarantee, including fitment, and is backed by a lifetime warranty for the downpipe itself. Performance gains of approximately 20-25hp are reported when paired with an appropriate tune. For optimal performance and to avoid potential check engine lights, a tune is recommended after installation. This downpipe is specifically designed for vehicles equipped with the Pneumatic Wastegate (PWG) and requires a 3.5" downpipe outlet. It is important to confirm your vehicle's wastegate type (PWG or EWG) if unsure.
