The Burger Motorsports JB4 is an electronic wastegate add-on connector for specific BMW N55 engines. It allows the JB4 tuner to directly control the electronic wastegate, increasing the boost ceiling and tuning flexibility. The connector features two wires, purple and blue, with gold DSUB pins that are inserted into the JB4 harness. The purple wire connects to position #9 on the DB25 connector, and the blue wire connects to position #16.

The Burger Motorsports JB4 BMW EWG Add On Connector is designed for BMW motors from 2014+ that feature an electronic wastegate (EWG). This essential add-on patch integrates with your existing JB4 tuner to provide direct control over your vehicle's electronic wastegate. By enabling this control, the connector raises the boost ceiling and enhances overall tuning flexibility, allowing for more advanced performance adjustments. Installation involves connecting two wires, purple and blue, each with a gold DSUB pin, into the JB4 harness. The purple wire, intended for the male pin on the wastegate harness, connects to position #9 on the DB25 connector. The blue wire, for the female pin on the wastegate harness, connects to position #16. This EWG add-on connector is an optional upgrade for higher horsepower applications, particularly beneficial when using integrated Water-Methanol Injection (WMI) kits or larger turbochargers.
