N55 Ignition Kit

The Precision Raceworks N55 Ignition Kit represents the highest output ignition system engineered for the N55 engine community. It provides full DME control and retains the factory cooled control system, ensuring seamless integration. The kit features 100% plug-and-play wiring with OEM weatherproof quick connect connectors and proprietary 50ohm/ft low-resistance plug wires. While ignition coils do not directly add horsepower, their improved output, when the factory coils are underperforming, can lead to significant gains. Tested vehicles, both stock and modified, have shown gains of 20+ whp and 20+ wtq. The coil output can reach up to 118mJ with software tuning, a substantial increase over the factory XXmJ output. Installation considerations include the "OEM Manifold Kit" option, which mounts to the DI fuel rail and may require removal of the factory airbox or a manifold peg. An "Aftermarket Manifold" option is available, intended for use with specific aftermarket intake manifolds and mounts to port injection fuel rail tabs. It is important to note that aftermarket intakes are highly recommended and may be required for some applications. This kit is not compatible with the OEM airbox or any airbox that occupies the same space on the manifold, and may necessitate the removal of a manifold mounting peg. Furthermore, specific chassis fitment caveats apply: F10 and e9x N55 chassis vehicles cannot accommodate both this ignition kit and an aftermarket manifold simultaneously due to inlet location.
