N55 Ignition Kit

The Precision Raceworks N55 Ignition Kit represents the highest output ignition system developed for the N55 engine community. It integrates seamlessly with your vehicle via 100% plug-and-play wiring and OEM weatherproof quick-connects, utilizing proprietary low-resistance 50ohm/ft plug wires. The advanced coil design, drawing from marine and aerospace technology, delivers high voltage and high current. While ignition coils do not directly increase horsepower on their own, the factory N55 coils often lack sufficient output. This kit can result in gains of 20+ whp and 20+ wtq, as demonstrated by before-and-after dyno tests. Software tuning is not strictly required for operation, but with compatible tuning solutions, the coil output can be boosted to a maximum of 118mJ, a substantial increase from the XXmJ output of stock coils. All components meet or exceed OEM requirements and feature dust and water-resistant seals for durability. Installation considerations include: * For the OEM Manifold Kit: Mounts to the DI fuel rail. May require removal of the factory airbox and a post on the manifold if the airbox sits on top of it. * For the Aftermarket Manifold Kit: Intended for use with aftermarket intake manifolds, mounting to the tabs for the Port Injection fuel rail. * An aftermarket intake is highly recommended and may be required. This kit is not compatible with OEM airboxes or any airbox that occupies the same space on the manifold as the coils. Removal of a mounting peg on the manifold may be necessary. * Important Chassis Fitment Note: The F10 and e9x N55 chassis cannot accommodate both this ignition kit and an aftermarket manifold simultaneously due to the inlet location at the rear of the engine.
