The Racing Dynamics Intake Pipe Kit is engineered to replace fragile OE plastic intake pipes on select BMW models equipped with the N55 engine. These original ABS plastic pipes can fail under the high boost pressures found in stock and modified applications, particularly where the flange meets the piping. The stock pipe is also undersized for modified engines with increased boost or upgraded turbochargers, potentially restricting airflow. This Racing Dynamics pipe provides an increase in airflow and is designed to withstand higher performance demands, ensuring your BMW 640i or 740i with an N55 motor is protected from power loss or breakdowns associated with OE pipe failure. This intake pipe is compatible with the BMW 640i Base Convertible (F12 chassis) from 2012-2018, the 640i Base Coupe (F13 chassis) from 2012-2018, and the 740i Base Sedan (F01 chassis) from 2011-2015. All listed models feature a 3.0L L6 engine. The product is listed with a weight of 1 lb and includes a Prop 65 warning regarding cancer and reproductive harm.
