The Nexsys N55 & S55 Ignition Coil Upgrade Kit is designed for BMW N55 and S55 engines. It allows for the use of B58 ignition coils, which can produce 2.3x the energy output and offer a longer spark duration compared to stock coils. The kit utilizes a coil-on-plug design, eliminating the need for additional spark plug wires and fitting into the stock coil mounting location for clearance with top mount turbo setups.

The Nexsys N55 & S55 Ignition Coil Upgrade Kit provides a significant performance enhancement for BMW N55 and S55 engines by enabling the use of B58 ignition coils. These upgraded coils are capable of producing 2.3 times the energy output of stock N55/S55 coils and deliver a longer spark duration. This translates to a stronger, cleaner spark for improved combustion efficiency. The kit features a coil-on-plug design, which removes the necessity for separate spark plug wires. The kit includes billet aluminum brackets, proudly Made in the USA, that are specifically developed to mount the B58 coils onto the N55 and S55 engines. The overall weight of the kit with coils fitted is a mere 3.0 lbs, making it over 50% lighter than comparable kits. Installation is simplified with the inclusion of plug-and-play connectors, made from durable nylon and manufactured in the USA. The kit also comes with new, longer ignition coil boots to ensure a secure fit. Importantly, the stock engine cover remains compatible with this upgrade. This kit is compatible with all N55 and S55 engines, including earlier E-series models. Note: This kit does not include the B58 ignition coils themselves. You will need to source these separately (OE Part #'s: 12138643360, 12138678438, 12138647463, 12137619385).
