The Fi Car Audio 18 inch NEO 4.9 Subwoofer is engineered to deliver exceptional bass performance, comparable to SP4+ or Team series drivers. It utilizes N52UH Neo magnets for strong motor force and features a kraft pulp fiber reinforced cone with a 6-inch gloss carbon dustcap. The subwoofer supports dual 1 and dual 2 Ohm configurations, housing a 4-inch diameter, 4-layer coil. This subwoofer is designed with advanced cooling and inductance mitigation features. It incorporates a multi-stage system starting with a machined aluminum pole sleeve for heat wicking and inductance reduction. Further stages include an aluminum domed compression cap and a thick aluminum finned extrusion, collectively reducing and linearizing inductance by up to a factor of three, and significantly aiding thermal dissipation. The robust construction includes an extra-heavy aluminum basket, a wrap-around gasket, and dual-layer wide foam surrounds. The NEO 4.9 offers flexible termination options, including standard heavy-duty stitched hybrid lead or push/hybrid terminals designed to handle larger wire and minimize resistance. It also features 10-inch progressive spiders and 144 tinsel count leads. With an RMS power handling of 3500W, it is suitable for ported, 4th, or 6th order applications, recommending a ported box volume of 5-8 cuft.
