The Silver's NEOMAX Coilover Kit is engineered to enhance the performance and handling of your Mercedes-Benz SL Class R230 models from 2003 to 2011. Constructed with a focus on durability and performance, the NEOMAX kit features a mono-tube shock design, which increases shock oil capacity and displacement compared to twin-tube designs. The 52mm diameter shock tubes are made from high-strength JIS G3445-STKM13C carbon steel. Inside, a 44mm piston utilizes digressive valving characteristics to deliver maximum low-speed damping response for ultimate performance while maintaining a comfortable ride. The high-viscosity IP F.A. 5W damper oil ensures consistent efficiency and control. For McPherson applications, the kit includes adjustable T6 6061 front camber plates, allowing for fine-tuning of alignment. Koyo Japan Radial Bearing upper spring perches are standard, eliminating spring bind and noise for improved driver feedback. The springs themselves are cold-bent from high-strength SAE9254 steel, ensuring stable elastic modulus. Height adjustability is managed through the lower bracket, preserving maximum suspension travel regardless of the chosen ride height. Installation is facilitated by powder-coated steel lower brackets that retain factory brake line and ABS wire tabs. Multi-link suspension systems benefit from anodized T6 6061 aluminum lower mounts, which help reduce unsprung weight.
