The Silver's NEOMAX Coilover Kit is a high-performance suspension upgrade specifically engineered for the Toyota MR2 (AW11) from 1986 to 1989. This kit offers extensive adjustability with 24 distinct levels of dampening control, enabling drivers to fine-tune their vehicle's handling characteristics to suit various driving conditions and preferences. The coilovers feature a mono-tube shock design, which enhances shock oil capacity and displacement compared to twin-tube designs, leading to superior performance and consistency. Key construction elements include cold-bent springs made from high-strength SAE9254 steel, ensuring stable elasticity, and robust JIS G3445-STKM13C (DIN2393-ST44-2) carbon steel 52mm diameter shock tubes. The 44mm pistons utilize a digressive valving style, designed to provide immediate low-speed damping for responsive performance while maintaining a comfortable ride. The default spring rates are set at 4K for the front and 6K for the rear. Installation is facilitated by lower brackets that allow for independent height adjustability without affecting spring preload, thus maximizing suspension travel. The kit also includes T6 6061 aluminum lower mounts (for multi-link systems) to reduce unsprung weight, and powder-coated steel lower brackets with provisions for factory brake lines and ABS wires. McPherson style applications feature adjustable T6 6061 front camber plates and Koyo Japan Radial Bearings, which mitigate spring bind and noise while enhancing driver feedback.
