The Newman BMWI/288/410 PH3 camshaft is designed for fast road and tarmac rally applications. It increases both bhp and torque by allowing valves to stay open longer, improving air/fuel mixture entering the cylinders. This camshaft is intended for non-supercharged engines and operates within a power range of 3500-7500 rpm.

The Newman BMWI/288/410 PH3 is a high-performance camshaft engineered for MINI One and Cooper models (R50/R52) with non-supercharged engines. Designed for fast road and tarmac rally use, this camshaft enhances both horsepower and torque across the 3500-7500 rpm power band. By extending valve duration, it optimizes the amount of air and fuel entering the cylinders, leading to noticeable performance gains. To achieve the camshaft's full potential, a remap of the vehicle's ECU is recommended, although it is not always strictly essential. Users can expect approximately 18bhp gains, with the actual increase dependent on the specific camshaft chosen and other modifications present on the car. Key benefits include increased horsepower and improved throttle response. Please note that this product includes the camshaft only. An optional ARP Camshaft Sprocket Bolt is available separately, and if chosen, the packaging may be opened to pre-install the bolt onto the camshaft.
