Overview

The Clevite 77 4917 is a cylinder head gasket constructed from multi-layered steel. It is comprised of multiple embossed layers of fluoroelastomer coated and uncoated 301 stainless steel. This design requires less clamp load, creating less bore distortion and conforming load distribution across the sealing surface, making it suitable for applications from naturally aspirated to boost or nitrous. The gasket features a center or shim layer that can be varied for multiple thickness requirements and outer layers that meet the demands of harsh sealing environments.
