The MODE Auto Concepts Nitron R1 is a vehicle-specific coilover suspension package designed for the BMW F20 M135i and M140i, covering production years 2012-2019 with N55 and B58 engines in RWD configurations. This R1 system provides a broad performance setup window with its 2-way combined damping adjustment, controlling both compression and rebound. Developed from Nitron's race-winning suspension and sharing components with their R3 system, the R1 offers exceptional performance, reliability, and value for both road and track use. It is praised for out-performing more expensive kits. The dampers are designed, developed, and hand-built by Nitron, ensuring uncompromising quality and reliability without the need for remote canisters. Fade-resistant and built with ultra-low friction components, the R1 shocks are constructed to last. The use of titanium hard-anodised parts protects against corrosion while reducing weight. Every R1 kit is custom-built, sprung, and fully serviceable and rebuildable. Professional installation, ride-height setup, and a performance wheel alignment are recommended after installation. Some vendors offer professional fitting and setup services for this suspension package.
