Description

The Öhlins FGK 242 NIX 30 cartridge kit replaces the factory internals of Kayaba (KYB) front forks on the Yamaha YZF-R7 (2021–Present). By utilizing Öhlins' race-derived NIX damping architecture, the kit separates functions by leg—compression in the left and rebound in the right—to provide superior damping precision, reduced fork dive, and increased front-end grip. This allows riders to tailor suspension performance to individual preferences and track conditions. The kit includes 08790-series springs in 9.5, 10, and 10.5 N/mm rates. Professional installation and suspension setup are strongly recommended to achieve optimal performance and safety. Note that while this kit includes springs, suspension fluid (Öhlins 1309) and specific installation tools are required and must be purchased separately. The system is fully serviceable and rebuildable for long-term reliability in supersport and performance street applications.
