The CURT 55251 is a vehicle-side custom 4-pin trailer wiring harness designed for specific Ford Explorer, Mercury Mountaineer, and Lincoln Aviator models. It plugs directly into the existing OEM vehicle socket, providing a 4-way flat output that connects tail lights, brake lights, and turn signals. This plug-and-play design eliminates the need for cutting or splicing wires and includes a dust cover to protect the connector when not in use. The installation difficulty is rated as novice, with an estimated installation time of 5 minutes. It is backed by a one-year limited warranty.
