No-Notch H-Beam Connecting Rods

The SpeedFactory Racing No-Notch H-Beam Long Rod and Vitara Piston Combo is engineered for Honda D16 and ZC engines, offering an optimized solution for performance builds. These connecting rods are crafted from robust, forged SAE 4340 chromoly steel, ensuring high strength and longevity for demanding applications. Each rod is meticulously processed through heat treatment, magnafluxing, CNC machining, and shot-peening to relieve stress and ensure structural integrity. Designed to work seamlessly with Vitara pistons, these custom-length rods correct the deck height issue common with standard rods, resulting in a higher compression ratio (8.8:1 with Vitara pistons, compared to 7.8:1 with standard rods). This not only improves engine efficiency and turbo spool time but also eliminates the need for block and girdle notching, simplifying the installation process. Precision alignment dowels are incorporated to ensure accurate rod cap placement and maintain big end bore size, preventing cap walk. The rods feature bronze alloy pin bushings suitable for floating wrist pins and are supplied with high-strength 3/8” ARP2000 rod bolts, rated to 220,000 psi, along with ARP lube and installation instructions. Key specifications include a center-to-center length of 138.63mm (5.458”), a pin end bore of 19.02mm (0.748”), and a big end bore of 48mm (1.890”). Each set is balanced to within +/- 1 gram. These rods are rated to handle up to 500hp and are designed to clear most factory girdles, requiring zero block notching. The package includes four connecting rods and four pistons with rings and wrist pins. This combo is specifically designed for the 1988-2005 Honda Civic and the 1986-1989 Acura Integra models equipped with D16 or ZC engines.
