Description

The Zumbrota Drivetrain NP231 transfer case is a remanufactured unit built to stringent standards for the 1996-1997 Chrysler Dakota. This transfer case is meticulously inspected and tested, with cases and internal components examined for wear. Zumbrota Drivetrain employs a specialized Hydro-blast rinse and blasting procedure, followed by deep cleaning. All units are fully rebuilt, with 100% replacement of bearings, seals, and viscous couplers. Finished units undergo spun testing to ensure proper shiftability and noise levels. Key specifications include a 23-spline input shaft with a 0.84-inch exposed length, a bolt-on front output yoke, and a speedometer hole. The rear output shaft is a 27-spline slip yoke style, and the shift indicator switch is positioned above the shift shaft. The unit is shipped in high-density plastic totes to prevent transit damage. This transfer case is compatible with 1996 and 1997 Dodge Dakota models. It comes with a 2-year limited warranty.
