The Zumbrota RTC231D-3 is a remanufactured NP231 transfer case specifically built for 1994-1996 Chrysler Dakota vehicles. This transfer case is rebuilt to rigorous standards, ensuring exceptional quality and reliability. Zumbrota Drivetrain meticulously inspects all cases and internal components for wear, including cracks, stripped threads, shaft straightness, gear wear, and chain stretch. The rebuilding process involves an exclusive Hydro-blast rinse and blasting procedure for both internal and external parts, followed by a proprietary deep cleaning. All units are fully rebuilt with the replacement of all bearings, seals, and viscous couplers. Each finished transfer case undergoes thorough spun testing to verify shift-ability and check for noise.
