NP231 Transfer Case, 23-Spline

The Zumbrota Drivetrain NP231 transfer case is a meticulously rebuilt unit engineered for 2000 Dodge Dakota and Durango models. This transfer case offers a 23-spline input with an 0.84-inch exposed length and a convenient bolt-on front output yoke for straightforward installation. It is equipped with a 32-spline slip yoke style rear output shaft and features a shift indicator switch positioned above the shift shaft for operational clarity. Notably, this model does not include a speedo hole. Zumbrota Drivetrain transfer cases are remanufactured to rigorous standards. Each unit undergoes thorough inspection for wear, including cracks, stripped threads, shaft straightness, gear wear, and chain stretch. Internal and external components are cleaned using a Hydro-blast rinse and blasting procedure, followed by a deep cleaning process. All units are rebuilt with new bearings, seals, and viscous couplers where applicable. The finished transfer cases are spun tested for shiftability and noise before being shipped in high-density plastic totes to ensure protection during transit.
