Description

The Zumbrota Drivetrain NP242 Transfer Case is a remanufactured unit specifically designed for 1999-2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles equipped with the NV242J transfer case. During the remanufacturing process, each unit is meticulously inspected and undergoes a state-of-the-art hydro blasting and rinsing procedure, restoring the case to its original OEM finish. Zumbrota Drivetrain ensures quality by replacing 100% of common wear components, including seals, bearings, and viscous couplers where applicable. Technical specifications for this transfer case include a 23-spline input shaft with an 0.84-inch exposed length, a cup-style front output yoke, and a 27-spline rear output shaft featuring a rubber boot. It is equipped with a 1.75-inch speedometer hole and a 4-pin indicator switch located in the one-piece tail housing. Tag numbers associated with this unit include 52098875, 52098875AB, and 52098875AC, with a Hollander number of 412-431 and other numbers such as UMT208-4.
