The Zumbrota Drivetrain RTC242J-8 is a meticulously rebuilt NP242 transfer case engineered to restore the functionality of your 2002-2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4WD with a 4.7L engine. Crafted with extensive experience, Zumbrota transfer cases are rebuilt to meet high standards, offering peace of mind with a standard 2-year, unlimited mileage warranty. Each unit is thoroughly inspected for cracks, stripped threads, shaft warp, gear wear, and chain stretch. All bearings, seals, and viscous couplers (where applicable) are 100% replaced. The remanufacturing process includes a unique hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting for a clean OEM finish, followed by spin testing to ensure smooth operation and minimal noise. Key specifications include a 23-spline input shaft, a 32-spline output shaft, a two-piece tail housing, and it is manufactured without a speedometer drive. The RTC242J-8 is shipped in high-density plastic totes to prevent transit damage.
