NP273 Electric Shift Transfer Case

The Zumbrota Drivetrain NP273 transfer case is a remanufactured unit built to high standards for 1999-2003 Ford Excursion and Super Duty vehicles. This transfer case is designed for models equipped with either a 4-speed automatic or a 5-speed manual transmission and features an electric shift system. It has a 31-spline input shaft and is identified by tag numbers F81A-JD, 1C34-JA, 4C34-JC, 5C34-JE, 5C34-JF, and 5C34-SE. Hollander number 412-419 and other number UMT433-1 also apply. During the remanufacturing process, Zumbrota Drivetrain thoroughly inspects cases and internal components for wear, including cracks, stripped threads, shaft straightness, gear wear, and chain stretch. The units undergo a specialized hydro-blast rinse and blasting procedure, followed by a deep cleaning. Crucially, all bearings, seals, and viscous couplers are replaced. Each finished unit is spun tested for shiftability and noise. To ensure quality and customer satisfaction, all Zumbrota Drivetrain transfer cases are inspected throughout the remanufacturing process.
