NT555RII Competition Drag Radial Tire

The Nitto NT555RII is a D.O.T.-compliant competition drag radial tire engineered for enhanced performance on the drag strip. Its high-grip compound and semi-racing construction provide superior traction off the launch, crucial for achieving better 60-foot times compared to the NT05R. Large twin center ribs maintain a continuous contact patch for optimal dry traction, while substantial circumferential grooves improve wet handling on the way to the track. This drag radial is designed to be a perfect pairing with the Nitto NT555 G2 Summer Ultra High Performance Tire. By mounting the NT555RII on the driven axle and the NT555 G2 on the non-driven axle, drivers can achieve a balanced performance setup optimized for modern performance vehicles. The sidewall construction has been specifically modified to improve launch capabilities, translating to quicker times on the drag strip. With a UTQG rating of 100 for treadwear, Traction A, and Temperature A, the NT555RII offers a balance of performance and durability for its intended use. It boasts a dry performance rating of 5 out of 5, with wet performance rated at 2.5 out of 5, quietness at 2 out of 5, and ride comfort at 3 out of 5. The tire's large circumferential grooves aid wet handling, and its race compound ensures maximum grip at the starting line. It requires a minimum wheel width of 10 inches and can accommodate up to a 12-inch wheel width. The tire's diameter is 27 inches, with a tread depth of 6/32" and 736 revolutions per mile. It has a load index of 106 (2094 lbs per tire) and a speed rating of (W) up to 168mph.
