The Zumbrota Drivetrain RMT4500C-4 is a meticulously remanufactured NV4500 manual transmission, engineered to provide reliable performance for specific GM trucks. This unit is built for 1994-1995 Chevrolet and GMC 2500 and 3500 series trucks equipped with 4WD. This transmission features a durable cast iron case, a detachable bell housing for versatile installation, and an external slave cylinder. The shift tower is a square, four-bolt design. Technical notes indicate specific casting numbers for the main case (16812), top cover (18860 or 25137), and tail housing (18306), along with Hollander numbers 400-02624 and 400-03919. Zumbrota Drivetrain implements a rigorous remanufacturing process with quality inspections conducted three times. This includes a pre-inspection for case cracks and wear, an in-process inspection to ensure component parts meet OEM specifications, and a final inspection to guarantee the unit is built to strict standards. Internal parts undergo 100% inspection, including gear wear checks, mainshaft straightness tests, and synchronizer testing. All transmissions are dyno tested to simulate real-life scenarios before shipment.
