NV4500 Remanufactured Manual Transmission

The Zumbrota Drivetrain RMT4500D-20 is a remanufactured NV4500 manual transmission, meticulously rebuilt for 1998-2002 Dodge 2500 and 3500 trucks equipped with 8.0L engines or diesel powerplants and a 2WD drivetrain. This 5-speed transmission features a robust cast iron case with an aluminum top cover and is designed for specific engine and drive type configurations. Zumbrota Drivetrain employs a comprehensive 3-step remanufacturing process to ensure the highest quality standards. This includes a thorough pre-inspection to identify and address case cracks, excessive wear, and other common core issues. During the remanufacturing, all component parts are measured to guarantee they meet OEM specifications. The final post-build inspection confirms that each unit is assembled to Zumbrota's exacting quality standards. Critical internal components such as shaft straightness, gear wear, and synchronizers are extensively tested. Furthermore, all transmissions are dyno-tested to verify operation, shiftability, and noise levels, simulating numerous real-life scenarios to ensure optimal performance. Seals are replaced as a standard procedure. The remanufacturing process also includes an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting for internal and external parts, followed by a proprietary shot-peening deep cleaning, setting a benchmark for manual transmission remanufacturing.
