Description

The Airflow Research 8046-16 is a set of 16 steel valve spring seats. These seats feature an outside diameter of 1.740 inches and an inside diameter of 1.650 inches.

AFR designed these valve spring seats to protect aluminum heads from harder valve springs. They prevent wear and damage to the cylinder head that can occur when a valve spring moves slightly. The tapered shape of the seats, installed over the valve guide, limits excessive spring movement. These seats are crucial for protecting the investment in cylinder heads.
