Description

Wideband O2 sensors use a sophisticated sensing element for precise air/fuel ratio output. Building on a planar sensor base, they provide the ECU with exact AFR response, leading to better performance, lower emissions, and increased gas mileage. Planar sensors use zirconia ceramic sensing technology, similar to thimble sensors, but in a more compact, lighter design that requires less power. The small heater and sensing element are in the sensor's thin, flat tip, allowing use in tighter spaces. Wideband planar sensors use 5 or more wires and meet or exceed OE specifications.
