This hood is meticulously crafted from 100% ISO-certified, Grade-A carbon fiber, utilizing a two-part construction for optimal durability and a sleek appearance. The top layer is a high-grade carbon fiber bonded with top-notch epoxy resin, finished with an ultra-clear Poly Shield coating to guard against UV rays and maintain a glossy finish. The underside features a smooth shell fused to the top layer for enhanced structural integrity, while the edges are hand-sanded for a premium feel. VIS Racing employs the Vacuum Infusion Process (V.I.P.) to produce parts that are 10-20% lighter than previous methods without compromising on strength, making it an excellent choice for weight reduction. Installation of this hood requires hood pins, which are a necessity for secure mounting, especially given its intended primary use for off-road adventures. This hood is specifically designed to be compatible with Porsche Cayman models from 2006 to 2012.
