The Mazda 1WPE-14-302 is a genuine OEM engine oil filter engineered to meet the specific requirements of Mazda vehicles. This filter shares identical mounting flange dimensions, thread size, and pitch with other Mazda filters, ensuring a proper fit. Internally, the 1WPE-14-302 features a 0.72mm thick filter media, contributing to its filtration capabilities. It is equipped with 8 oil entry holes, each measuring 4mm x 10.3mm, and a center support with seventy-eight 2.85mm holes. A notable characteristic is the bypass valve, which has a spring rate of 2200 grams at 1mm of compression, designed to open and allow oil flow if the filter becomes clogged.
