OEM+ IS38 Turbocharger for MQB 2.0T

The HPA Motorsports OEM+ IS38 Turbo is a robust upgrade designed to replace or enhance the factory IS38 turbocharger in MQB 2.0T applications. It directly addresses the known reliability concerns of the OE IHI IS38 turbo by implementing a fully upgraded and redesigned bearing system, proven in HPA's 450 HP Hybrid Turbos, offering enhanced durability and reliability. Precision engineered over four years of research and development, this turbo features CNC-machined intake and exhaust housings. It includes an HPA proprietary mixed-flow turbine wheel and a CNC-machined billet compressor wheel engineered for improved spool characteristics and better anti-surge performance, while remaining compatible with existing IS38 tuning solutions. The wastegate has been upgraded to a highly heat-resistant Inconel version to prevent bending or snapping under high Exhaust Gas Temperatures (EGTs), a common failure point in OE units, especially for track-day enthusiasts. The kit includes an HPA Turbo Muffler Delete, an OEM installation kit, and all necessary hardware. Please note that the diverter valve and electronic wastegate actuator are not included but can be purchased separately. The product is covered by a limited one-year warranty against manufacturer defects in major, non-consumable components, valid from the date of purchase. However, this warranty excludes damage from improper installation, normal wear and tear, misuse, racing or motorsport use, collisions, accidents, or contamination. To maintain warranty eligibility, vehicle maintenance must follow the factory-recommended service schedule and any applicable manufacturer-issued Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs), with proof of adherence potentially required. Warranty repairs must be performed at the HPA Motorsports facility unless prior written authorization is obtained.
