The Honda OEM 91212-R1B-A01 is a genuine oil seal, also known as a front crankshaft seal or front cover seal. This direct replacement part is manufactured by Honda to precise factory specifications, ensuring reliability and proper fitment for various Honda and Acura models. This seal replaces several older Honda part numbers, including 91212-R40-A01, 91212-RNA-A01, 91212-R11-A01, and 91212-RTA-003. Proper installation is crucial for the longevity of this seal. It is recommended to lubricate the sealing surface of the hub and the lip of the new seal with clean engine oil before installation. A seal driver or a socket of appropriate diameter should be used to carefully tap the seal into place, ensuring it is correctly positioned and not over-driven. The sealing surface of the hub should be inspected for wear or damage, and if necessary, a new hub should be used. Installation involves removing the crankshaft pulley and related components, and reassembly is done in reverse order. This genuine Honda oil seal is guaranteed by Honda's factory warranty.
