It replaces the factory hose situated between the air filter and the turbocharger. This upgrade is constructed from aluminum and features 3-ply silicone couplers, ensuring it will not expand under boost pressure. By eliminating the OEM sound chamber, this intake pipe enhances turbo response and improves both mid-range and top-end power output. It addresses the final restriction in airflow into the turbo, leading to improved turbo response, increased airflow, and reduced turbo lag. FTP Motorsport also offers an optional Viton O-ring, which provides superior strength and durability compared to the original material, preventing leaks.
