Description

The VIS Racing carbon fiber trunk provides an OE-style aesthetic upgrade for 1998-2002 Honda Accord 4-door vehicles. Constructed with a two-part design, the trunk utilizes Grade-A carbon fiber bonded with high-grade epoxy resin. The exterior is finished with an ultra-clear, UV-protective polyurethane coating to ensure a high-gloss finish, while a one-piece smooth underside shell is fused to the top layer to enhance overall structural integrity. Manufacturing of this component incorporates the Vacuum Infusion Process (V.I.P.), which uses a single-mold vacuum to produce parts that are 10-20% lighter than standard methods while improving durability. Each trunk is hand-finished at the edges to ensure quality consistency. Installation requires the use of hood pins, as the manufacturer specifies these for off-road use only unless local and state laws dictate otherwise.
